17th July 2010
Windsurfing: LEVINGTON
Wind Direction: WSW
Wind Stength: F3-5
Surf / Sea State: FLAT
Air Temperature: SUNNY
Sea Temperature: WARM
Weather: GREAT
Max Speed: 20-25 I th (knots - unless stated otherwise)
Distance Covered: 3 1/2 hrs (Nautical Miles - unless stated otherwise)

Had a great day at Levington. Arrived about 1.0 ish and wind was 12kts gusting 14, so rigged 9.8 / 145L had 20 minutes, then the wind bloody picked to 15/20 kts and I had to beach on the other side towards the docks which was a bit sheltered.
Unfortunately the gust stayed 20 mins and although I tried to get a back a couple of times (nearly shagged the nose) had to sit it out.

Rigged 7.8M and had a great time (runs flat out to docks and beat back.) . No GPS yet but good flat out runs as the water was flat.

Nearly had a incident with the blue tourist boat that does the river. I was hit with a gust on the 9.8M as I crossed in front of it (with a good 100M to spare), and went straight over the top. The bloody captain could see I was in the shit, but hardly change course and we were in the middle of the flipping river.
Would have been 4**** but I was nearly run over, had to rig 2 sails, whacked the nose, and shit mud everywhere, so 3***
